BIRD IN MOTION

Bird in motion above
Flying timelessly towards the awakening sun,
Undistracted by the people below,
Undistracted by the man loading his gun.

Pigeon pie motionless on the plate
Being slowly eaten for Sunday lunch,
Undistracted because of the bullet,
Undistracted because of the oven.

Wing guiding towards nowhere,
Swooping, rising, buffeting through the winter wind,
Circling round and round the countryside,
Apparently undistracted by the inclement conditions.

It seemed to know where it was going,
Trying to reach the sun,
It didn't rest for hours on end,
Not needing to.

Bird in motion going the same way,
Even as the sun rose,
Drawn by something,
Drawn to nowhere.

AND NOW FOR SOME "REAL" CULTURE"

I was working on a case last night, I had to work on a case because I couldn't afford a table, when there was a tap on the door; funny place to put a tap I thought. I opened the door and there was a beautiful woman. She rolled her eyes at me, so I picked them up and rolled them back. She told me to go with her, so I did. We took the lift down 150 flights; it was heavy but we managed it. Outside a taxi pulled up with a jerk, the jerk got out and we got in.
